Terms of use

By using this site you accept the terms below. The short version: analysis output is informational and you should treat your own judgement as authoritative.

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using MP4 Analyzer (the “site”) you agree to the terms on this page. If you disagree with any of them, please do not use the site. The site is operated by MediaOnDeck; the contact address is liuhang887654@gmail.com.

2. What the service is

The site is a media container and bitstream inspector that runs inside your browser: it parses ISOBMFF structure, exports coding-unit and motion vector data and visualises QP distribution. All computation happens on your device and we do not receive or store your files.

The site is free and requires no account. We do not promise continuous availability: features may be added, changed, suspended or removed at any time, and may stop working because of browser API changes. Do not make the site the only analysis path in any critical workflow.

3. No warranty

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We do put substantial effort into checking results — every numeric export path is cross-checked against native FFmpeg / ffprobe output, as described in About. Even so, output can still be wrong because of codec implementation differences, container edge cases, browser decoder behaviour or cases we have not covered. Do not treat this site's output as your only source for:

  • codec conformance or compliance certification;
  • any legal, medical, safety or other professional determination;
  • definitive claims or statements about a third-party product.

Where this site disagrees with a native tool you trust, trust the native tool — and tell us about the difference, because it usually means we found an edge case worth fixing.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MediaOnDeck and the maintainers of this project are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, this site — including lost data, business interruption, lost profits or third-party claims — whether or not foreseeable and under any theory of liability.

Because the site is provided free of charge, our aggregate liability is limited to zero to the extent permitted by applicable law.

5. Acceptable use

When using the site you agree not to:

  • process content you have no right to process;
  • attempt to attack, disrupt or overload the site or its hosting, including automated high-volume requests;
  • circumvent or remove technical safeguards built into the site (such as the file-size pre-checks);
  • use the site for anything unlawful, or to circumvent copyright protection measures on third-party content;
  • use the MediaOnDeck or MP4 Analyzer names and marks in a way that implies official affiliation or endorsement.

6. Intellectual property and third-party components

The interface design, visualisation and analysis logic on this site are developed by MediaOnDeck. Third-party product names and trademarks mentioned on the site belong to their respective owners and are used only for identification and factual comparison; no affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement is implied.

Analysis is built on FFmpeg (LGPLv3). As that license requires, the relevant FFmpeg sources and the full license text are published here. Its terms on redistribution and modification apply to you as well.

7. Advertising

The site displays ads through a third-party advertising service (Google AdSense) to support its ongoing operation. Placements are manually specified by this site and appear only in content areas such as the bottom of a page — never covering or overlapping the analysis interface. Automated ad insertion is disabled.

8. Changes and contact
